I did not expect to have such malice consume me upon seeing my mama and papa again, but how could I not be furious? They allowed those men to take me when I was a child and left me there. Stryker says he failed me, but I cannot blame him because he was no more able to come for me than I was to break free. He was a child like me. But my mama and papa, they could have done something…at the very least, tried something to get me back.

My memories have begun to surface now that the serum is no longer pushing into my system, running through my bloodstream. I remember…I remember it all. I can see the days Stryker and me would walk through the village with his wagon in tow; Mr. Bernard, wearing the beret, giving us coins for our birthdays; and eating apples with Stryker on the hill as we watch men working in the fields. I also recall how happy me and my parents were, how often we laughed. I remember teasing Mama, but I always thought Papa was better at it. I remember, Katija, Stryker’s sister. She was my age, and while everyone expected us to be friends, it was always Stryker and me who were as thick as thieves.

The man who occupies my thoughts returns with buckets of water, and I rush to the corner. "What are those for?" I snarl, remembering how the ice cold water froze my body when I was initially caught. Did I do something? Is he angry and I am being punished?

"Do not worry, Izzy. It is warm water for you to wash with. I have also brought a clean pair of clothes." He pulls the folded material from the sack he is holding under his arm.

"I get to bathe?" Excitement exudes from me because I have not had a proper washing in…I do not know how long. He must have realized I needed it when he ran his fingers through my hair, feeling the greasy strands.

"Oui." He carries everything into the cell, making a few trips for the buckets of water. Setting everything down on the cement floor, his eyes lock with mine, and neither of us saying a word.

"Will you wash my hair?" I dare to ask, but his gentle touch from before has me yearning for it once more. More than that, I wish Stryker could take away the feel of Master's hands on me, the feel of him inside of me, the feel of the whip slicing across my skin.

"Oui." His brows knit, appearing perplexed by something. "If that is what you wish me to do, Izzy."

"I do." I slowly pull the sweatshirt from my body. Stryker's eyes fall to the ground. "Stryker?" I cover my full breasts as his lustful gaze meets mine.

"Izzy," He breathes my name as nothing more than a whisper.

"I wish for you to see me." I remove the sweatpants and stand straight with my shoulders squared without an ounce of shame, loving his eyes perusing my body.
